In our seasonal after-school program, EWG’s curriculum helps girls develop skills in plant wisdom, floral art, building friendships and confidence. We use hands-on DIY self-care activities that act as a bridge to cyclical wellness. Example activities include flower crowns, floral body care, herbal bath time rituals and moon bracelets. We’ve created an atmosphere where girls can use their hands, minds, and bodies, while feeling safe to ask questions and share thoughts. Our programs change with the seasons, therefore we encourage those who have participated before to sign up again. Our offerings are seasonal and continue to deepen within each session and age group. Join us for this safe and nourishing program, aimed at encouraging your girl(s) to thrive when she needs it most.
Objectives:
Participants will focus on aspects of the seasonal cycle and how this relates to menstruation and overall wellness
Participants will gain hands on experience with different flowers and herbs (building upon past knowledge * constructivism theory)
Participants will engage in conversation/journaling/thinking aimed at understanding natural cycles, body-awareness and empowerment
Participants will engage in a new plant-based skill/craft/activity each week
