In our seasonal after-school program, EWG’s curriculum helps girls develop skills in plant wisdom, floral art, building friendships and confidence. We use hands-on DIY self-care activities that act as a bridge to cyclical wellness. Example activities include flower crowns, floral body care, herbal bath time rituals and moon bracelets.  We’ve created an atmosphere where girls can use their hands, minds, and bodies, while feeling safe to ask questions and share thoughts. Our programs change with the seasons, therefore we encourage those who have participated before to sign up again. Our offerings are seasonal and continue to deepen within each session and age group. Join us for this safe and nourishing program, aimed at encouraging your girl(s) to thrive when she needs it most.

Objectives:

  1. Participants will focus on aspects of the seasonal cycle and how this relates to menstruation and overall wellness

  2. Participants will gain hands on experience with different flowers and herbs (building upon past knowledge * constructivism theory)

  3. Participants will engage in conversation/journaling/thinking aimed at understanding natural cycles, body-awareness and empowerment

(POSTPONED) Wise-Women Tea for Int’l Women’s Day

EVENT POSTPONED. Sunday, March 7th, Earth Within Girls will be celebrating International Women’s Day with an intergenerational tea party- and you’re invited!

International Women’s Day is a moment to celebrate the beauty and diversity of women’s lives and experiences and to share wisdom across generations. It is in these moments that we share our stories, that we build bridges to each other. At Earth Within Girls, we think this work is sacred, and especially important to helping young women nurture their connection to body, self, and earth.

Our Wise Women Tea led by Lisa Inman of BodyMind Balance- Intuitive Healing Coach and Melissa Emily, founder of Earth Within Girls, will be a celebration of stories, cycles, and the plants that support us. Upon registration, each participant will be invited to select a specific tea depending on where they are in their moon cycle. If you aren’t following a cycle, we invite you to choose your favorite tea instead. Then we’ll all meet virtually on the 7th to learn and share with our youth and each other the benefits of these herbs and how to lean on them during different times of the month. And while we all might be at home, we’ll be dressing up and we hope you’ll do the same! Bright colors, florals, greens pinned in your hair, or anything else that makes you feel connected to the world of plants.

Suggested Donation: $5/person (This is a free event, but if you are able to support our organization, we are much appreciative.)
All ages are welcome.
