A Day of Learning, Creativity, and Connection
Join us for a special retreat designed to foster understanding, celebration, and confidence as your child prepares for their menstrual cycle. This interactive experience will bring caretakers and daughters together through education, creativity, and self-care practices, creating a supportive space to explore the power of cyclical living.
What to Expect:
Cycle Education – Learn about puberty and the menstrual cycle through engaging, hands-on activities.
Creative Exploration – Design a personalized period journal with dried flowers, magazines, and natural materials.
Self-Care & Rituals – Explore gentle movement, nervous system regulation, and cyclical living to embrace the natural rhythms of the body.
Reflection & Storytelling – Share experiences and connect across generations.
This retreat is designed to normalize conversations about menstruation, strengthen the caretaker-daughter bond, and empower young people with knowledge and confidence as they navigate this new phase in life.
Open to: Caretakers with daughters 8 and up.
When: Sunday February 8th from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Where: Movement Studio in the Lower Rattlesnake. Directions will be emailed to you upon registration.
Cost: $195.00 per pair
Facilitator Bios:
Melissa Lafontaine founded Earth Within Girls in 2020, inspired by her own journey of healing hormonal imbalances through plant knowledge and self-care. With a Master’s in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana, she focused on plant-based education, leading to EWG’s first guardian-daughter workshop on International Women’s Day. Now expanding her expertise through functional hormonal health coaching with Cycle Seeds, Melissa is dedicated to helping young girls and gender-diverse youth build confidence and knowledge around their hormonal health.
Carter Daume is a Fertility Awareness & Reproductive Health Educator and the founder of Foundations Reproductive Health Education. Driven by a passion for helping women and girls understand their menstrual cycles, she provides education and resources that support body literacy and informed decision-making at every stage of life. As a co-facilitator of this retreat, Carter brings her expertise, warmth, and dedication to creating a supportive and empowering learning environment.
